The Katschberg chairlifts take you to amazing heights in the crystal clear mountain air. Enjoy hiking, biking or just relaxing in the area around Katschberg or take the chairlift from the Katschberg to Aineck.

There is something here for everyone and for all levels of fitness. Hikers have a choice of routes and tracks from easy to very advanced.  There is something suitable for the whole family.

Take a trip to the Adlerhorst mountain hut and enjoy the amazing scenery while sampling some tasty local specialities.

Route A
The starting point of this hike is located at the cable car station Aineck. This hiking trail is suitable for families and less experienced hikers.  The trail is well marked out and signposted and leads you back along the ski slope to Katschberg. Suitable for families with small children. Also suitable for mountain bikers.

Route B
This route starts out at the Aineck plateau at 2,220 m above sea level. On this route can take in the breathtaking scenery of the Hohe Tauern, Lower Tauern and Nockberge mountains. The Adlerhorst Mountain Hut is located on this route where you can stop relax and enjoy some refreshments.
Hike to the Bonner Hütte

Route C

This hike takes you from the mountain station Aineckbahn to Teuerlnock direction (route 111) to the Bonnerhütte . On the return you take direction Kössel-bacher Alm (route B) or via Aineck (route C). From the Bonnerhütte there are also other trails and walks to explore taking you to Rennweg and St Margarethen.

Route D

The starting point for this route is the summit station Aineck. From there you follow the directions to the Kösselbach Alm (route C) and continue on past the Sandrieser Hut (route A) direction Katschberg.. Wonderful views over St. Michael and Lungau are to be enjoyed! Mountain Bike Trail also available from St. Michael to be Katschberg.

Route E

The starting point for this hiking trail begins at the base station Aineck. From there you take the route occupied by the Gamskogelexpress on to Gamskogelhütte (route No. 19). The return journey takes you back to Katschberg. This route is suitable for mountain bikers.
